State Bank Finalizes New Design of Currency
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has chosen the look for its new currency notes.
SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad announced this on Wednesday. He spoke in Karachi while explaining why the central bank decided to keep interest rates the same for now.
The Governor said that creating new money is happening right now. An expert from another country designed the chosen look.
Ahmad added that printing the new notes will start after Pakistan’s Cabinet gives its official approval.
