The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has initiated a special fast-track registration campaign in the flood-affected regions of Swat and Buner, with the goal of providing swift access to identity services and government relief programs.
In collaboration with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), NADRA has deployed mobile registration vans to issue Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) on-site and to facilitate urgent registrations for families in need of relief assistance.

Registration teams are actively operating in various flood-impacted areas, including Lundikass and Babuzai in Swat, as well as several locations in Buner, allowing displaced individuals to secure CNICs essential for accessing government aid and social protection initiatives.
This initiative follows the recent monsoon floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which have displaced numerous families, inundated villages, and caused significant damage to critical infrastructure. In addition to NADRA’s efforts, humanitarian organizations like OneUmmah and Penny Appeal are providing food supplies, clean drinking water, and hygiene kits to the affected families.
In a separate update, NADRA announced a change in fees for the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), which applies to citizens residing in Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The NICOP, which is also available to the family members of overseas Pakistanis, is an essential identity document that affirms Pakistani nationality while granting access to various services and benefits.
