Punjab Announces Thousands of New Scholarships
Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has declared the commencement of the second phase of the Honhaar Scholarship program, thereby broadening opportunities for thousands more students throughout the province.
This announcement was shared via a post on her official account on the social media platform X, where she spoke directly to the youth, referring to their aspirations as “the heartbeat of Punjab’s future.”
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the program has already aided 80,000 students since its inception last year. At present, 50,000 students are benefiting from scholarships, with an additional 30,000 expected to gain support soon.
She pointed out that Honhaar provides opportunities in 67 fields designed to prepare students for their future careers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in life.
“The portal for the next phase of Honhaar is now open,” the Chief Minister stated. She encouraged students to apply with confidence, study diligently, and maintain faith in their abilities.
The Honhaar Scholarship program was established to assist talented students in accessing education and training that can enhance their career opportunities and contribute to the province’s growth.
With the initiation of its second phase, the program is poised to further extend its reach and continue investing in the future of Punjab’s youth.
